I'm using InfoPath 2007.  I have given in and am now trying to use a repeating table instead of a list box.  I read that you can format it to scroll like a list box so it might work for me.  I was able to create the data connection to the xml file and bind the repeating table to it successfully.  Now I just need to get it to populate.  Nothing happens when I test it.

I don't know why it doesn't create a data source automatically when you create a control... I'm using Infopath 2007 too and it does it. when you are in the "controls" pane... at the bottom of the pane... is there a check box "automatically create data source"? is it checked? if it is it should create the data source for you when you add a control to your form
