    Hi Gangi,

This should be a relatively easy conditional formatting expression.  For the child nodes, add a conditional formatting rule that hides them when their parent is not selected.  If your DB is normalized properly, you should be able to do this recursively, but if it's not doing it with a static depth should be even more straightforward.

Please let me know if I'm missing something - good luck!

    Hi Matt Faus,

what your solution is more like static or fixed logic.i am looking for data extract from database and parent questions and sub questions appears like tree view model. here is my database table design. pls provide me solution or code sample if u know. thanks for your responce.

     Question_Id
    Question_text  - question lable
Question_Parent - indicates Question parent (is this is main Question then parent id is 0)
Question_Category - main Question or Sub question

format should appear like this dinamically in infopath 2003

    Note : Main Question 1
                            Sub QuestionA
                                  Sub QuestionsA1
                                  Sub QuestionsA2
                            Sub QuestionB
                                  Sub QuestionsB1
                                  Sub QuestionsB2

                      Main Question 2
                            Sub QuestionA
                                  Sub QuestionsA1
                                  Sub QuestionsA2
                            Sub QuestionB
                                  Sub QuestionsB1
                                  Sub QuestionsB2

if possible pls send me u r mail id i send u more details

    Hi Gangi,

We have built a solution for conducting surveys where the questions are stored in the database. The survey forms are data-driven. If you are interested in buying a third party solution, we could show you a demo. This solution is quite stable and has many features. However, it's too much work to try to help you implement a solution of this scope via the forum. We have been working on this solution for over a year. What you are trying to do will take time. You're probably better off just purchasing the solution.

    Hi Patrick,

Thanks for your response. i too think the same, it might take more time to implement and not so stright forward. How about to implement in ASP.net, web based so that easy to develop. is it better idea insted of infopath better to go with web based application as more complicated requrements?

    thanks
