    Optional Textbox?

    Hi

I would like to set up my form so that if a particular option is selected from a drop down field a textbox will appear with instructions in it. I have managed to get a message to be displayed but ideally I would like the text on the form not just the screen. Can anyone help (p.s. I have abolutley no programming experience!)

    Thanks

    Hi

I would like the form to be Pick assessment level 1-4 on drop down list. If they pick say option2 then a reasonably large text box will appear underneath with advice on what to do. The other options don't require a textbox.

I have worked out how to put a condition on a drop down menu which brings up a message on the screen which you click ok on and it disappears.

    Am I making any sense?

    Hi robbieswife2b,

Take a text box or expression box or some thing for displaying your message under the drop down list. Put a conditional formatting on that as if the drop down list is blank then hide the control. Put rules on the text box for different message based on the value selected in the drop down.

     Hope this will help you.

If you didnt get your result please let me know.
