I just learned of infopath and what it does on Monday, I have very little background in sharepoint (like setting up folders). I am trying to do the simplest thing possible, I have make a one field (string) form in infopath and I want to upload it to a sharepoint form library folder as a "template " so that people can click on "fill out this form" and infopath would open so that they can fill it out. I have administrator rights btw. I have created the form, created a submit button that is connected to the "AI3" form folder on teh sharepoint site. I then published the form to the site, modifying the original folder on the sharepoint site.
Now when I open the AI3 folder and click on "fill out this form", it gives me the following message:
The form could not be created.
The required application may not be installed properly, or the template for this form library cannot be opened.
Please try the following::
1. Check the general settings for this form...install the application, and run again (paraphrased)
2. If you have permission to modify this form library, go to general settings for the folder and configure a new template.
Why does the sharepoint site give me this?
