[2007] Drop down default value with 2nd datasource

    Hi all,

    I have a problem in InfoPath 2007, with a Web-Enabled form.

On the form I have a dropdownlist with 3 fixed values in it (active, resolved, closed).
Also on the form, I have defined a secondary datasource to receive data from an XML file.

Now, what I want to accomplish, is that when the form opens, the dropdown value is selected with the appropriate value from the XML file

So, if for example the XML 'status' field says "Resolved", I want my IP form to have the same value selected.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Nick,

This is a foundational function of InfoPath - it should simply work. Is there something you're not telling us? Such as opening from within a browser?
