We have a repeating table that is linked to a database table. When you add records to the table and submit the form, the corresponding table gets updated.

We added fields to the database table.
We modified the data connection so we could include the new fields
We changed the binding on the repeating table to include the new columns
Under Form Options (Advanced) we select the option to automatically update the forms
We saved the file, no errors.

When we open existing forms, we see the new columns and can type data into them, however, they do not write out to the database. Only the fields that existed previously are written out.

What are we doing wrong?

I have a question. When you look at the Data Source in the Task Pane, do the new fields look exactly like the previous fields? Are they in the same place? I have a hunch the new fields are not listed in the same way as the others.'

(I could be wrong, but that's what I would check first.)
