    Form prompting for login

    Hello,

I have some trouble with my form and I can not understand its behaviour.
Unless you have Administrator rights to the sharepoint it is integrated into - it will prompt and prompt for logging in and when it finally opens - it will not recognise your user group.
I tried creating new user groups - but the furthest result is having it prompt only once - but then it also doesn't recognise the user name.
The IE already has enabled "Automatically log in with user and password" - what could be wrong?

    Thank you in advance,
    Monica

    Hi Monica,
Are you accessing the SharePoint site from the same domain as the SharePoint site is in or is it cross domain? Have you added the users to the SharePoint manage users permissions page?

    Re: Form prompting for login

    Hello Patrick,

Yes actually I have two accounts for the Sharepoint (added to the users) so I am testing on my two accounts. The one granted admin rights is working perfectly but the one granted either Web Designer,Contributor or any other custom user-group rights not.I even tried to give one specific rigths for the form (full permisions - read write etc so they would override the permissions given for the Sharepoibnt site) but it is still prompting for login.
I am trying to access the Sharepoint from the same domain.

    Regards,
    Monica

    Re: Form prompting for login

    Hello,

I figure out what was the permission that allowed the Administrator to open up the form correctly without having it prompt for login and others not - seems that when I give the Manage Site Groups to a user- group , it will make the form work.
However I do not feel comfortable with giving each user-group the permission to " Create, change, and delete site groups, including adding users to the site groups and specifying which rights are assigned to a site group. "
I don't really see any connection or any logical reason why this particular permission will allow users to open up the form correctly.
Have you ever seen this type of problem before?

    Thank you in advance,
    Monica
