    Files Being Copied with Template

I just found that the files that I used, like when I was playing with a background Pic, when devoloping the form are being cashed on users PC's when the files are no longer being referenced in the form. Where do I have to go to get the 'lost files' to stop downloading? That and where are they coming from, I can't find them on the Sharepoint site.

    They are going here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\usernamehere\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\InfoPath\FormCache1\bunch of sub folders here

    Thanks Again,

Hi E. and welcome to our forum,
This is an IE setting. You can control what gets cached via the IE's Tools->Internet Options->General->Settings. I hope this helps.

Re: Files Being Copied with Template

    Patrick,

The issue is this. Pictures that I used when developing the form, for a background, buttons etc., are being downloaded to users PC's even though they are no longer referenced in the form. They are being pulled from somewhere but I can't find them on SharePoint anywhere.

I cleared their cache, I did it to test that they were gone, and they come back into the infopath\formcache1\... Directory I mentioned in my post...

I am trying to figure out where the old references can be found, so that I can get the references to go away as well as where the files are being pulled from so that I can remove them from there as well. I know that this is wasting little bandwidth or file storage space but it is still a concern that it is wasting that space every time someone submits that form.

    Thanks Again,

    Hi Parker,
    1. Did you actually add these files to your forms resource files? or
    2. When you have referenced previously did you actually give a URL path for the picture?

If it is "1" then you need to remove it from resource files.
If it is "2" and you are not refering to that file any more then that file does not get downloaded.
