How to Create a Query Button?

    Hi everybody!
I have a form based on a Data Connection on SQL. I added a view to query and populate the fields. I insert the button, add the action query using a data conn, select the db and click ok.

Go to the form drag a q:field (text box) from the main data source and drag d:fields. Preview the form, write a value in the q:field, click the button and nothing happen!

What am I missing? I have tried differents ways, with the same results!

What action did you select in the button properties box? "Rules and custom code" or something else?

I dont see any reason why your query is failing, did you try out running your query at the DB side. May be data is not getting returned by DB.

What I want is to create a NEW query without using the default button that Infopath provide. For example, imagine making the form based on data connection, but erasing the default buttons. How can I achieve this?
