    question about Edit:Undo

Alright, i dont know if this iis a retarded question, or not. But, sometimes in infopath, when I hit undo (ctrl z), I takes me back one step, however, right now I am hitting undo and it is taking me all the way back to my last save point. I cant figure out how to go back just one step at a time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By any chance were all the updates that are being undone made by code? When you make multiple code changes before giving control back to the user, they all count as a single 'undo'.

    Re: question about Edit:Undo

no code was involved, all the editing was done in dialog boxes. i added a bunch of rules inside some button controls, cut and pasted the buttons inside an optional section, and then pasted the optional section inside a repeating section. problem is, when i cut and pasted the buttons, the rules disappeared. my options were to redo the rules, or undo the form to the point just before the addition to all the rules.

    Re: question about Edit:Undo

So you are referring to Undo within the designer and not within the editor. I've not really paid much attention to how Undo works in the designer.

As for losing the rules on the buttons when you copy-pasted... that is unfortunately the expected behavior. Why? Not sure. I think its a bad behavior, but that's how it is. Those rules will have to be added back manually--sorry.

    Re: question about Edit:Undo

is that something that will be changed in 2007? I am constantly changing my mind on the location of buttons although Im sure it would be a lot easier to do it in the view files themselves.
