Encrypting text entries in certain fields...

I have a user request to encrypt entries in certain InfoPath 2003 fields.

The users want it so that when the data is called from the library (by other "read-only" forms) certain personal information is not displayed (like name, SSN, and phone/contact info).

Can anyone (1) explain to me how to do this and (2) tell me if this will require VisualStudio.NET or a web-service?

    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

Hi Mike and welcome to our forum!
You should save the sensitive data in a separate place. Another option would be to encrypt in your OnSubmit handler, but that will require installing a key on the client. Web service is doable so long as it's https. :)
