Hello,

I want to use the IsUserMemberOf method with InfoPath an VSTA. But I can't compile the programm, because he doesn't know the expression "IsUserMemberOf".

bool userOf = this.Application.IsUserMemberOf(@"Domain\Group");

System.Xml.XPath.XPathNavigator root, user;
root = this.MainDataSource.CreateNavigator();
user = root.SelectSingleNode("//my:memberof", this.NamespaceManager);
if (user.Value.Length <= 0)
user.SetValue(userOf.ToString());

Can anyone help me?

using Microsoft.Office.InfoPath;
using System;
using System.Xml;
using System.Xml.XPath;

Here is the error message:

'Microsoft.Office.InfoPath.Application' does not contain a definition for 'IsUserMemberOf'

Have you an idea of what is missing?
I already searched many forums and blogs without any success.

Are you using the Application.User object to reference IsUserMemberOf? It won't work under Application. Must be Application.User.IsUserMemberOf("GroupDomain\Administrators") for example. i cant find any reference for user, there is no assembly. i have no idea whats wrong with my code.

Hmmm. Makes me think that you don't have the Program Interop Assemblies (PIAs) installed. Did you install these?

Never heard from PIAs... my installed system:

can i download PIAs?

Can you try to install the Visual Studio 2005 toolkit for InfoPath?
