Hi all,

My company has a word document that gets sent to customers and stored in Sharepoint and we want it to be automatically populated from the data submitted from an infopath form. The user would then be able to input additional information and then save the word document to a sharepoint site or email it to the appropriate person.

I am at a loss as to how to even begin doing this using the existing form. Can someone please point me to some samples of this kind of process?

Otherwise, there are a couple ways to go about it. Either, use VBA to launch Word and programmatically insert XML into a Smart Doc, or save the XML and load it into a Word SmartDoc. You can also use a Print XSL to generate WordHTML that is loaded into Word. I'd say the last approach is easiest, but you lose the data structure.
