Ive got a form with a picture in it. Depending on where you click on the picture, it takes you to a different view. I would also like to have some hovering text appear when the mouse is held over a button. would something like this tutorial work on a button too?

If you double-click the button control in the designer and then go to the Advanced tab you should notice a Screentip box there. Type whatever you want to see as "hovering text" there and I think you will be satisfied with the results.

I hope this helps, and it will be much easier than the technique you mention!
