    C# thisXDocument.View.SelectText

    Hi,

I have try to use selecttext but what I don't understand is what is this second parameter:
    quote:
expression.SelectText(ByRef pxnField As XMLDOMNode, [ByVal varViewContext As Variant)

    It's explain like this:
    quote:
varViewContext Optional Variant. The ID of the control that is used for the context, which is an element with the specified view context of xd:CtrlId.

But I don't understand what does it mean (possibly because I'm French)?
I have try to put a null and the name of the button who launch this event in string format (CTRL4_5) but that send me always an error.

If I try with Type.Missing that work!!!!!

But what is this parameter ?

    original article:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/ipsdk/html/xdmthSelectText_HV01025481.asp

Can you explain me what is this parameter?
In C# this parameter is required but in Jscript there is optionnal (If you need to use it in Jscript you can declare: Missing.Value).

    Thanks for your feedback

Not sure I have an answer for you. But using Type.Missing is the appropriate solution.
