    VB Script

    Hi Guys,

I have a button on my form and when pressed, i would like to email certain fileds of the form.

What VB script can i use? How do i use the feild names in the script?

If i need to send this to different people at different times, how would i go about doing this?

    Thanks

    Hi Bashira,
You don't want to e-mail the whole form, just vertain fields. Is that correct?
You can use the data connection wizard to configure a button to send to different people depending on an XPath rule. However, to restrict the fields sent is harder (=as InfoPath assumes that you will always send the entire XML. You can choose to not attach the XML File and switch to a view that only has the fields that you want to send. Then, it should work.

What i am doing is right click my button and click on edit form code.

This then take me to a section om my code to add code. What i dont know is what code to put in. How do i tell it to email a particual field

    Hi again,
Like I said, you don't have to write code. Just go to the Designer and Tools->Data Connections and add a new e-mail data connection where the To list is a function loading values from a field in the form's main data source (or secondary) that you generate in the form via concatenation when values change. You can use rules to accomplish this. No coding required. Hasta a****a.
