    Hi Vasanth,
Well, it's embedded as base64 encoded string in the form so there isn't really a path per se. There is an xpath to the mso-inline encoded attribute and some other details to get the image out. I am pretty sure that this is documented on the Microsoft InfoPath blog site. Please go to resources (or Google) and try searching the InfoPath blog written by the MS guys.

    Hi again,
Yes, the blog entry should explain how to reformat the string to make it a file. Anyway, here's a link to some InfoPath team blog posts on this:http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/search.aspx?q=base64&p=1

    Hello Mr.Patrick Halstead,

Thanks Again for your Reply. Now I little bit clear. But I chose the another way to do my stuff.

Enter the File Path and the Webservice will call the file and parse it and display content of the file. Normally in my requirement is Excel Sheet.

So I convert the Excel Sheet to XML format using Webservice, filePath as input.

    My problem little over.

But again I request one Answer from you....that the Users aren't Enter the File Path by typing....He want just open a FileDialog box and the Select the File like in File Attachment control.

Is it Possible in Infopath...Can we use windows object in the InfoPath.

Plz Help me. I have to Done this. Becoz I am in the R&D Department.

    Vasanth.

Yes, you can create code to do this using Visual Studio to access the Windows file system objects. InfoPath supports .NET framework which may limit access permissions to file names. Not sure, but certainly it's doable.
