I have a weird situation. I have an IP 2013 form that has a data connection to submit via email (there's also a submit to SharePoint). The form is published to a library on a SharePoint 2010 site. Everything works well, but the email submit works differently for different users. When I submit the form, the email submit opens an Outlook message that I can edit and send. This is the desired behavior. However when other users submit the same form, an email prompt appears with all the default information populated, per the data connection settings. The email prompt is not from Outlook and the users cannot manipulate any of the email fields, they can only click Send or Cancel. On Send, the email is communicated properly to the recipient.
Ideally, I'd like for all users to able to send via Outlook instead of the email prompt. This would allow users to edit the message as they see fit. I'm not sending the form as an attachment, it's simply an email notification message that directs the recipient to the SharePoint site. All users have Outlook as the default email program. The form is set to 'Enable InfoPath email form functionality...'. There's no custom code, everything is done through the UI and rules. All users have IP 2013 and Outlook 2016. Anyone know why other users are getting the email prompt, while mine triggers an Outlook email?
