Good morning.
We are having an issue with the email data connections in our forms using the username [function] where the alias has special characters like $ and #. Now the aliases have a underscore instead of these special characters, and the emails will no longer send because the username is based on an individuals log in id which still contains the special characters.
We have a web service with user information and we can substitute the username with an email, or for forms on SharePoint we can use the Active Directory names. Also we can do a replace on the special characters in the alias.
I am interested if others have run into this issue, and what they have done as a workaround. Also I have not been able to find any good documentation online explaining why this is an issue.
