Submitting Form Data to Central Location

I'm using InfoPath to create a tool to track recruiting activity.  When hiring managers identify a new recruit they will submit master information about the recruit such as name and phone number.  Anytime a recruit is called, emailed, or sent a text, they will log that detailed information.

I'm using a InfoPath Filler 2013 Form Template in order to use the master/detail control.  I'm trying to figure out the best way to centrally store the data so that updates can be made in the future and we can report on the data.   Under Data->To Other Locations->To SharePoint Server Connection I'm trying to export the fields into a Data Connection Library that I've created.  I'm getting an error that states "This location does not contain any data connection files with the appropriate settings (screen shot below).  So I have 2 questions...

    1. Overall, will this approach work?

     2. If using the "To SharePoint Server Connection" is the right approach, could anyone provide guidance on how to resolve this error?

I've never used that option - I would probably just create a submit connection to a SharePoint library and submit to that. Your users would then go to the library, find and reopen an existing form or create a new one when one doesn't exist. I'm guessing the option you've selected allows one to use an existing UDCX, and that you don't have any (or need any since you are using filler) submit UDCX files in a data connection library on that site?
