    Adding Columns to Master Detail

I would like to be able to pull project budget data from our accounting system and have the users be able to add proposed changes to the budget. For each project, we have many tasks and each task has many cost codes with each cost code having budgeted hours and dollars. I'm thinking that a master detail control may be able to help, but i don't know how to add fields for the proposed hours and dollars OR even if this is the best way to approach the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
My scenario: The user selects a project from a dropdown, IP will use Secondary Data Source to get all tasks and their cost code budgets, user will enter proposed changes to each cost code budget. The table below attempts to display this

    Project xyz
    Task A
Cost Code Budgeted Hrs Budgeted$ Proposed Hrs Proposed $
from SDS SDS SDS User User
    Task B -repeat above
    TIA
