    Email, Approval and Ms Access

Hi, I am new. I have tried to create the above scenario using infopath 2010 but it's not really working. I require to let the user submit form as and when. I have created a submit option for email but the email receive will not update to the access database. I have tried using collect data method and it works only for email send to a particular recipient and once. If iI copy out the form, it stop working. Can any expert share a simple tutorial to create this.? Regards Wkkan

     Hi,

I have been trying to copy out the form but the email submitted to the outlook did not flow into the access data collection automatically and it did not update the access database.

So - you have submit rules in place to submit the form data to Access & to email?

    Hi

Yes, I have setup the submit option to by email and only one data connection. I also realize that the email send out by access data collection is embedded with access data collection code.

What I want to achieve is not data collection? I need a form base request to go for approval and submit through email and collect in the access database. This for should be adhoc and not trigger from access database.

I'm sorry - I'm having a hard time understanding. :) Any chance you can attach your template to a reply, under the options tab? Sometimes that helps me understand better.

Re: Email, Approval and Ms Access

     Hi,

My form is very simple as I am still trying out. There are only 3 fields which is align to a access database of 3 fields.

I am using InfoPath 2010 and Access 2010. I am still having the data collection feature in the Access. Therefore I created a form using the data collection and send it to an email. Then I copy out the form and add a submit option to send email but when I filled up the form and sent it. The email does not get recognize by the outlook and data in the form did not get sync into the Access database.

Hope I have explain it better. I am not able to attached the form as there is also nothing much configure in the form.

    Rgds
