    Expression to display number of days until due date

     Hi -

    I have a SP 2013 log with a customized InfoPath 2013 form.  The log stores items that will be worked over the course of time, and I need a dynamic display of the number of days until a due date. So - something like:

    [RequestDueDate] - Today()

    I saw this post http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/23234/96687.aspx, but that uses two date fields. Any suggestions on how best accomplish this without adding a second field?

    Unfortunately, there is no date diff function in InfoPath - with a list form I'm afraid a complex calculation like the one in the linked post may be your only option... unless there is a way to update a days remaining field with workflow? I've not tried that tho. :)

    I found a work around that works - though I really do miss a date diff function.

    I have two date fields: [RequestDueDate] and a [calcDateField].

    On form load: [calcDateField] = now()

    This allows for the revolving number of days till due. Once [calcDateField] changes to the now() date, then rule fires to run a calculation to get the number of days between dates that I found here http://www.bizsupportonline.net/infopath2007/calculate-date-difference-infopath-rules-formulas.htm
