Hey there. Sooo... I have a similar issue as above. I am not creating a form from scratch out of infopath. I have to work with the form template from the sharepoint server. Having said that, it is a web based form and I cannot find a way to limit the number of rows in the repeating table in the schema file without creating an error when it opens from the Sharepoint list. Do you know if this feature is enabled in a web form? Thanks! *EDIT: So I have been messing around with is a little more. When ever I publish the form to the sharepoint server, somehow the schema file variable gets changed back from 3 to unbounded. Does anyone have an idea how to prevent this from happening.

I created a dual approach for this, which includes allocating one of the fields in the repeat table to be an autonumber field, then placing a rule on the entire repeat table, that if 'NumberingField' = (max number of rows #), then do not allow users to enter new row checkbox.  This is a simple way to do this without having to export and change the maxoccure.

When creating repeating table, allocate a column for ‘auto number’ ; make the field a calculated field (Field1 as Example), and use this rule in the field: count(preceding-sibling::*) + 1

    • Create a format rule on the entire repeating table, and then put condition that ‘Field1 = 4 (The Max # of Lines that i wanted as example.)

    • Choose control ‘Don’t allow users to insert or delete this control’

    • People can add up to the maximum you want, then trying to click the button, it just won’t let them add.
