    InfoPath cannot save the form.

    Hello all,

I am not sure if this is an InfoPath or SharePoint issue so forgive me if I am looking in the wrong direction. I am also not too familiar with InfoPath/SharePoint so it has been quite a bit of a learning curve to get this to where I am now.

I recently inherited a SharePoint 2010 Foundation server, and one of the documents on there is an InfoPath form. As the server is coming to it's end of life I decided to re-create the SharePoint site on a new server but use SharePoint 2013 Foundation instead and transfer the content database over.

I have successfully completed this task except for one small issue I am having trouble working. The InfoPath document.

If I click 'new document' on the SharePoint Document, InfoPath on the client loads up as expected. I can fill in all the details of the form but when I go to Save, it just pops up with a message 'InfoPath cannot save the form.' with an OK button.

Thinking it might be a permission issue, I created a new SharePoint Form Library in InfoPath, created some test fields and published to my new SharePoint server. This publishes fine with no errors and I can see it on SharePoint. However, clicking 'new document' in my newly published Document results in the same behavior as noted above.

A workaround I have come up with at the moment is, saving the InfoPath form to my desktop and dragging this file to the InfoPath document library on my SharePoint server which works just fine. However, this is something I do not wish to roll out to my end users.

Just for more information, other Document types in the SharePoint server works fine (Excel, Word, etc), it just seems to be InfoPath.
If I create a new SharePoint Form Library in InfoPath and point to my old server, everything works as it should. Which is why I am having a difficult time determine if the issue is SharePoint or InfoPath.

    Thank you
