Multiple-Selection list box - Need help

     Hi,

I have an issue! I'm using a couple of multiple-selection list boxes and a standard dropdown list box, all within a row of the repeating table -  So the repeating table has 3 columns, 1st Column has the dropdown list box (standard) and the 2nd & 3rd columns each have multiple list boxes, all being populated via a secondary data connection and works fine.

The problem comes if I don't choose the first line item in the drop-down list box in column 1, say I picked the 2nd value from the list - and then click or check items in the 2nd column from the Multi-select box lists, check items. works fine.

If I then decide to select the 1st item from the drop-down list - All the previous values are cleared or un-ticked.

start off with the 1st item selected all works fine - but we might not want the first item..1st.

    Hope this is understood?

I really would appreciate some help with this.. I've gone so far with this form, going back or changing it will almost be life threatening to me :-)

    Best regards,

    Mike

It sounds like you have a rule on the field bound to the drop down to clear the values in the other fields? If you want, attach your form to a reply under the Options tab and I'll take a quick look.

Hello Hilary, Thank you for taking a look for me - please see the attached.

I've tried to strip the form down and removed any data links to our SharePoint site etc. It's still giving me the error so hopefully, you'll see my problem.

If you select from the first col, dropdown box - "Personal Factors", then tick in the 2nd Col, any values... then insert a new row below from the repeating table and select a 2nd value from the dropdown, you'll notice the selected values above all keep their selections.

If you don't select personal factors as the 1st row, pick something else, but then select it as a 2nd row - all the row values above are cleared. Its so weird, but something in there to do with Personal Factors, clear values? I don't know, driving me mad.

Please take a look - hopefully something simple.

    Thanks again Hilary,

    Mike

     Hilary,

I never did find the answer to this - So I recreated the repeating table and re-inserted each dropdown and list boxes and all works fine again. It wasn't actually that bad for me to do this - There was definitely some rule(s) somewhere changing these values to zero or blank, but could I find it? NO!

Anyhow, we're all happy again now,

    Thanks

Sorry - I was out of the office last week! Glad you have it working. :)
