I have a repeating table that I want to auto populate and auto calculate. Specifically, I want to have a field that a user enters a percentage and another where they enter a rate (price). Once these 2 fields are populated I would like all the other fields to automatically populate and calculate based on the Action Rule I have set up for each:
Area#_Rate_field - (Area#_Rate_field * Percentage_field)
Each new field is 30% (or whatever percentage is indicated) less than the field above it. So, if the Percentage_field is populated with 30%, and the Area1_Rate_field with 10,000, then
Area2_field: Area1_Rate_field - (Area1_Rate_field * Percentage_field) = 7,000
Area3_field: Area2_Rate_field - (Area2_Rate_field * Percentage_field) = 4,900
Area4_field: Area3_Rate_field - (Area3_Rate_field * Percentage_field) = 3,430
So I have made 30% the default value in the Percentage_field (I'm hoping there will be no trouble if the user changes this to another number).
I have no Rule set up for Area1_field, but all the other fields have the Rules seen above. But this is not auto populating or calculating these other fields (Area2, Area3, Area4, etc...).
To be clear, if the user leaves the Percentage_field as 30% and inputs 10,000 into the Area1_field, I want all the other fields to auto populate according to the rules applied to each field.
Any ideas?
