I have a form attached to a simple list. I want to allow users to add multiple items to the list without having to re-open the form every time. So I modified the buttons at the bottom of the form to include the usual "submit" and "cancel", as well the additional "submit & new" button. I wrote rules for this button that when pressed it submits the data to the list and changes field values back to defaults or blanks. the rules work, but when I add the second or subsequent item, it simply writes over the first item from the form. this means that all I can do it seems is add one item to the list with each form open. I don't want that to be true, I want the form to be smarter and more user friendly than that. Does anyone have a work around?
(I thought about a kludgy workaround, where I save the data to a third temporary location, then run a workflow to move the data back to my original list, but a) I don't really know how to do that, b) I don't know if it would work, and c) it's kludgy and gives me more stuff to maintain.
Please help,
Natan
