I have been searching for an answer to this but could not find any suggestions that would work for me. I would be really grateful if anyone could let me know how to achieve the following... I have a text box in a form and I need the users to enter the text in these specific formats: "REQ\d\d\d\d\d\d\d-\d" or "REQ\d\d\d\d\d\d\d-\d\d" or "INC\d\d\d\d\d\d\d\d\d\d" and cannot be blank. The "REQ" and "INC" can be either lower or upper case, but there shouldn't be any blank spaces anywhere in the reference.
I have tried using the validation rules ("does not match pattern" with "or"/"and" for each expression) but it didn't work. I also tried using the "The expression" (not(xdUtil:Match(string(.), "REQ\d\d\d\d\d\d\d-\d"), etc.) and it also didn't work...
Could my pattern be achieved?
