Show version number in text field on InfoPath form

I have a browser-enabled InfoPath form linked to a list in SharePoint.

I am able to save items to the list in SharePoint, and when I do so for the first time the version number in the list is updated to '1'. When the same item is opened, edited, and saved, the version number is updated to '2', and so on.

I would like to display this value in a text field in the form, but I can't find it in any of the values available to me.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

Failing this, I would simply like a text field to display an incremental number '1', '2', '3', etc to display in a text field on the form whenever the item is modified.

Many thanks in advance for your help!

     Hi there,

I am attaching a screen shot of a secondary data source. I have added the SharePoint list as a secondary data source and I have the version field selected. Is this what you are looking for?

Fantastic, I didn't realise you could setup a secondary data connection using the main data connection. Thank you!
