Difficult question - Editting form on sharepoint locally, or submitting that form locacally to match.

    Hello!

The enterprise I work for has a form on a SharePoint list. I have gotten a copy of the original form, but I however will not be able to change the form that is on the SharePoint site.

I am looking for a way to incorporate the form I got from the SP, into my new form. Which is going to capture more data, but I still need to push back the original form and data to the SP list.

Is there any way to accomplish this? Like the ability to submit only the views that the original form has, where my new InfoPath has a new view which I capture all my data, and populate the SP form?

If anyone needs any clarification on the problem scope, please let me know! Thank you for your help.

    Hi MACWAYNE,

To my understanding, you would like to update data from a SharePoint list using a different form aside from the one that is published to the SharePoint site. If so, then you may use code for this approach, or you may want to try qRules's SubmitToSharePointList which will make it a lot easier for you - assuming that you are not using a custom list form. We also have a webinar which shows a CAML technique for submitting data to a SharePoint List. More information can be found on this thread.
