I need help on the problem with InfoPath forms we are using .

Currently we are using InfoPath 2007 form for storing  data in SharePoint 2007 site. I want to use the data ( specifically - email address ) from the InfoPath into sharepoint site workflow - which will send automatic alert to user . Currently I am not able to use this data directly into the SharePoint workflow ( it does not identify it as email address). pl suggest.

 When you publish the form are you making the field available in the SharePoint Library?

 Yes I am making the field available in the SharePoint library. But the when I use this field in workflow (Nintex) it does not identify it as email address. Is there something wrong way I am defining field in InfoPath. I am not very expert, hence I have selected "Drop-Down List Box" from "Controls" menu while designing the form. .And it is linked for value from external database which is in XML format. So user as to just select the name from the drop down list .External database in XML format is nothing but download of email address from Microsoft Outlook. So name are in format for e.g  " Pai, John " instead of [email protected]. This data is directly copied from Outlook and coverted in XML and linked to InfoPath form.

 I would create a workflow text variable and set it's value using the Build String function in Nintex.  Then use that variable in your email.
