How to create a formula IF . PLease!!!!!

Hello I want to create a formula in infppath similar to IF of excel. For example: Field1 is a number and when this field is equal to Zero I want to have the result Test Ok otherwise Test Fail. In excel is: IF ( Field1=0;"Test ok";"Test Fail"). How Can I create a similar formula in infophat?

    Hi Ambarrionuevo,

Are you using a default value for the calculation? If you, you can try using this formula:

    substring("FailOK", 1 + 4 * not(../my:field1 = "0"), 4 * not(../my:field1 = ""))

You could also use a rule to set the value. On field1, under the Home tab, click Manage Rules, add an Action Rule which sets the target field to the Value: OK - Here you will need to add a condition (click the hyperlink underneath Condition) that this rule will only run if Field1 is not equal to 0. After this rule, add another action rule which sets the target field to the value: Fail - similar to the condition above, set the condition to only run if Field1 is equal to 0. I Hope this makes sense.

Hi Donstephen Thank you for your information. I have another doubt. Do you know how integrate 2 list or form in one document? For example I have the List A, inside this list there the user should click in botton or something similar and another form appears (List b). The user fill the information, save the data. When someone open this item in sharepoint, ones has the main list A and B inside to A. Best Regards

    Hi,

I am assuming that you are using Custom List Forms for submitting to a SharePoint list. Although the the custom form only has the main data connection which submits to it's own list, you can submit data to another list via code writting. There are several available methods out there, but I am most familiar with CAML. Here is a link to the blog:

    Hope this helps.
