    Control "Calculated Value" value can't be used.

     Win7, IP2010. I have a repeating section that I want to count. Inside that section are a couple of places that I would like to use that same position value. I can get the position of the repeating section to work with the "Calculated Value" control and the "position()" formula but because these other places that I want to use that value are inside the repeating section and are in a normal section and not repeating themselves I can't figure out how to get these other places to show the correct value. It appears that the "Calculated Value" cannot be referenced or have anything but "formatting" rules put on it. I have tried using the "position()" formula in a textbox but that doesn't work either.

    How can I get the position value of a repeating section and have that value available to work with in other controls?

    Hi Exemplaris,

    For calculated fields, please try the formula below to get the position/number of the row:

    count(preceding-sibling::my:group2) + 1

    where group2 is the name of the repeating group.

    Hope this helps.
