    Xpath help please!

I created a repeating field with three columns.  I created the attached xml file to populate the first two columns on insert row.  I'm trying to assign Code to the first field in the repeating table and Name to the second field in the repeating table but can't get past the formula in xpath.

Thank you,  can I ask that you look at a couple of other items while you have the form open please.

    1. The annexes table is close to the bottom of the form above Distribution.

    2. My form was coming along fine before the xpath for the expression boxes stopped incrementing the letters. I started fixing them but I don't understand when I verify the formula for the borken expression boxes why I get the error my:group85" does not point to a valid location path of a field or group as an example.  It was working fine previously.

    3. Along the way, I've been adding and deleting controls but have noticed that I have a bunch of unused controls and fields under data source.  should I delete those or ignore them?  If I should delete them, is there an easy way to identify which ones are no longer a part of the form?

    I've attached your template.

For item 2 - sometimes when we change the schema in a form that has complex XPath expressions like this, the "current()" function is removed - so you may want to get your schema design wrapped up and then add these expressions

For item 3 - when controls are added, fields are added to the data source, as you've seen. You should rename these fields and groups with meaningful names. If you delete a control, the field is not deleted - you can drag the field back onto the form or right click it and select a control type to bind an existing field to a different control.

As long as your form is not in production, you can delete and move fields without too many repercussions. However, after you start using your form, if you delete a field or bind a control to a different field, you'll lose data.
