Good morning all,
I'm a long time lurker and this forum has helped tremendously in learning Infopath. Thanks! But I've come across a performance issues and can't find a solution anywhere.
I've designed a few forms and essentially this is what they do:
- User picks their Customer.
- User types in 1 or more reference numbers in a repeating table
- The form concatenates the numbers into a string delimited by '; ' ( "ConNumbers": 12345; 43213; 12343; 12343)
- User presses a button to Refresh a secondary datasource based on their customer selection above
- The secondary datasource is a customer based sharepoint document library.
- A repeating table is filtered to display only file information that contain the metadata in "ConNumbers". (Rule is attached to the repeating table goes like: Hide control if "RefNumber does not contain ConNumbers")
Now my problem is that some of the customer document libraries contain tons of data.. like 15k + files over 50GB in size. The form is taking like 5 mins to load and scan the data source.
Is there a way to filter the data connection to say... pull files modified in the last 6 months? Or even better, how to filter the data connection only to the numbers typed in.. (difficult because it's in a repeating table... )
We've already moved 2013 out of the document libraries to another library to help, but our users need to reference 2014 files for a while and there's no easy way to split it.
Help!
Thank you so much :)
