People Picker with SharePoint 2010 in a Non-Repeating Section

I have found this blog a good start for many of my beginner level questions, however one is currently causing me grief.  I need to add a people picker to a non-repeating section of a form and replicate the person to as many entries as possible in the records generated.  Let me explain.  A helpdesk ticket is created with a wo#, title, description, problem type and ticket type, below in the in the repeating section, is a location, phone and (would like to have a technician name).  This name would be selected about once and them replicated on each entry below, 5 tickets all assigned to the same person.

    WO# 12345

    Title of Ticket:  Sample
Problem Type: Hardware    Ticket Type:  PC
    Technician: Smith, John C

Description: Problem with Hardware or the keyboard

Location:  Site A Phone: 555-1212   Technician: Smith, John C
Location:  Site B Phone: 555-1314   Technician: Smith, John C
Location:  Site C Phone: 555-3421   Technician: Smith, John C
Location:  Site D Phone: 555-6543   Technician: Smith, John C

I have everything working, except how to get the PEOPLE PICKER in the non-repeating section and then to replicate in the repeating section.

I have sense removed that site from my dev box.  I wish I could remember how i did it but do remember it had to do with creating a drop-down list of users form the tech security group, and adding their domain login to the field.  the people picker resolved to that login and it worked..sorry best I can do.  If I do find that STP, I will restore it and post the solution.

the way i was able to get email address to go out with the submit button, is to attach a data connection to a drop down control. The User Information List should be a service available if you start the data connection wizard with your site.sharepoint.com URL, THen choose the User Information List service, then choose the fields you want to pull in by putting a check mark next to each property, ie. name/work email/ect... on your drop down, set it pull in from this data connection, choose the repeating group container under dataFields for the Entry, that has all the properties in it. Then for Value, select the work email property, then for display name, choose the Name. So when the user picks the Name in the drop down list, it populates with the email address.
