Hi,
I have a form querying the getuserprofilebyname in our development version of sharepoint 2010. This is for a people picker field to get the users number, email & manager name.
I have this in the query as well - substring(AccountId, 8, 50)
I have test this form in my group of colleagues with 5 digit account id i.e (dustt). The query works fine.
I test the form on a 6 digit id for my friend Long, the people picker field fails "An error occurred while trying to connect to a Web service" and pulls this error out. He has an active account in AD?
"The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. A user with the account name ee\lotran could not be found. ---> An error was encountered while retrieving the user profile. UserCannotBeFoundAn error was encountered while retrieving the user profile. The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server "
Any ideas? Because I'm a bit clueless why the account id works on 5 characters instead of 6.
