How to get my REST webservice URL?

     Hello Experts,

The issue below may seam a bit stupid to you but i am straggling to find out the solution for 1 week now.

    ----------------------------

    1) I created an Access application in office 365 (within SharePoint)
    2) The tables and data are stored in a SQL Azure database (standard procedure)
    3) I opened the connections to this database from within the Access 365 database
    4) Al the credentials 9server, database, username and password are available

    Now the InfoPath part.
    4) I am working from InfoPath
    5) I need to create a REST-Webservice connection:
          Data
          Dataconnections
          Add
          Create a new connection:
           receive data
          Rest-Webservice
Then I need to add the URL of the REST-Webservice :

Now this is the problem: I can't get this URL working to my SQL    Azure database

According to me:  this URL should contain information about:
            server,
            database
            username
            password
This information I have available from the database
Also information about the table and view  is available.

MY QUESTION: How should the URL for this webservice look like?

    ----------------------------

     Thank you in advance.

    Regards,

    MM

Hi MM and thanks for posting,

To connect an InfoPath form to a REST Web service requires a REST Web service. SQL Azure doesn't provide this out-of-the-box. You have to create it. Jimmy Rishe (Qdabra member and InfoPath MVP) showed viewers how to create REST-based Web service here: http://channel9.msdn.com/Blogs/donovanf/InfoPath-2010-and-REST-enabling-a-WCF-Service-for-Consumption.

Hope this helps! If not, please email Support (at) Qdabra (dot) com.
