I have been trying to solve a problem that randomly occurs in one of my IP 2003 forms. I'm hoping after reading you blog that you can verify something. I have done pretty much everything you blog about here. Except that I have used the Master/Detail control in one view and a repeating section control in a second view. I have a filter on the repeating section of course but sometimes (very randomly) the repeating section displays a blank. Now, I have have been trying to figure this out for sometime now and the only difference that I can tell is that my DetailID is set as a Text field. Your blog suggest that that field should be a Whole number field. It makes more sense that it be a whole number field as the IDs are from a sql table using its sequential primary ID. So here is my question: would having my helper node set to "text" rather than "whole number" cause inconsistant behavior? I have already made the change, but a confirmation from you would make me feel much better about this issue that I have been trying to solve. Thanks Matt and thanks for the post.
