Migrating InfoPath 2007 forms to 2013 with backward compatibility

Hi, I have multiple InfoPath forms in my applications. Currently they are in InfoPath 2007 and we are in process to migration to InfoPath 2013. I wanted to know if I keep the Form type in the migrated template to 'Web Browser Form(InfoPath 2007)' instead of 'Web browser Form' under Form Options -> Compatibility -> Form Type Check below screenshot. Will it have any issues in future if we keep it in 2007 compatibility in PROD SharePoint 2013 environment? Because I have to make multiple changes in the form like resolving the people picker and drop down list issues if I keep the Form Type option as 'Web Browser Form' Thanks in advance.

Yeah, the people picker issue is a bear. Will your forms publish now as browser forms to your SharePoint 2013 site? I can't think of any issues I've seen - just that there are some things not available in browser 2007 that are in later versions. But if you are fine w/out things like picture buttons and what-not, I don't see any harm in keeping your current forms as IP 2007. Be sure to use the newer templates for new development tho.

Yes, the forms would be deployed as browser enabled forms in SharePoint 2013. We do not have picture buttons on the forms, but do you by any chance have a list or reference to some site which lists things which do not work in SharePoint 2013 having forms which are IP2007 compatible?

    Thanks in advance :)

I may have been unclear. I don't know of anything in an IP 2007 form that will not work correctly in SharePoint 2013.

There are features available in InfoPath 2010 / 2013 that are NOT available in InfoPath 2007 designer. The only reason to upgrade your form would be if you want some of these new features.
