Filter recurring events in SharePoint Calendar list items

I need some help. I am searching for a method or code to filter by date, a SP calendar list that includes recurring events. I am not concerned with All Day events because my calendar won't be using them. Using SP Designer I can create and filter a view using [currentdate] but that only gives me the events for the current day. I want to be able to search by past or future dates using a date picker. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I don't feel very confident that I understand what you are trying to do - but if this is something you want to use InfoPath for, you could try using a REST query, maybe? That would give you a great deal of flexibility in your query itself for returning just the events you want....

Hi Hilary, I've never used a REST query but at this point willing to give anything a try. To explain further, I am trying to create an IP form to filter calendar list items by Start Time so I can generate a snapshot of any day's events. The problem is with recurring events, the Start Time is the date and time of the very first occurrence of the series so filtering on Start Time only returns that date. How can I find the URL to my REST web service?

Oh, got it - so you need to find stuff where the date the user selected is in the range of the recurring event?

REST URL is generally like: http://servername/_vti_bin/listdata.svc
