Visual Studio Tools for Applications 2010??

Hi, Currently Im using VSTA with InfoPath 2010 for further customizing my form. However everytime I use it it brings up Visual Studio 2005 instead of my desired 2010 version. Is there a way to change it somehow that it brings up VS 2010 instead of VS 2005?? Thanks

    Hi -

I'm a little confused, since you mention VSTA and then also mention Visual Studio.

InfoPath support has changed in Visual Studio 2010, so if your form is a Visual Studio 2005 project, you won't be able to open it with Visual Studio 2010. You can learn more here.

If, instead, you do mean VSTA, I'm not sure why Visual Studio would be opening for you rather than the version of VSTA for your office install.

    Hi,

    My excuses for the confusion.

What I mean is that when I go to Developer>Code Editor I will get VSTA 2005.

Is there a newer version of the VSTA that I can install so that when I go to Developer>Code Editor I get that version?

Or is the VSTA 2005 the newest version

To my knowledge, IP 2010 uses VSTA 2005, and you won't be able to upgrade the version it uses. Hopefully if I'm mistaken, someone will correct me....

    Okay.. thanks for your reply.

Guess I will be continuing on using VSTA 2005 then.

    Thanks again
