    Submit to SQL Database

    Hi All,

We had developed an application based on Infopath 2007 Form Services and it submits to a Form Library and it also has simple workflows. Well almost 95% of the work is done but our management is not too happy in having Form Library as the storage and want SQL Server 2005 as the storage instead.

I do understand that a web based info path form requires web services to submit to SQL Server data source and while achieving this we are not able to reuse the already developed IP form or workflows as we are having to do everything from scrath again.

    My questions are

is there something wrong in our approach?

Is there an approach where we can reuse everything we have developed so far(i.e ip form, workflows etc)?

We would still need to store in both SQL Database& Form Library( the latter so that we can use workflows developed in Sharepoint Designer). So is there a best approach to achieve this?.

    Any samples would be great.

    Please do advice.

    Thanks.

    Tosh

    Hi Tosh.

Sorry i did not get to this sooner.

You can submit to SQL without redesigning your form.

Check out the web services available from qdabra.com.

You are describing their typical solution architecture.

Is this webservice free or do I have to pay for it.

    The Developer version is free.

If you are going to use it in production then it has a small fee. It's way cheaper then creating it yourself.
