    Printing issues.... Shading missing

    Hi,

I have created a form, with a view for data entry and a view for printing.

On the printing view I have some text fields highlighted with a pale grey background/shading.  The content of these fields is being printed but the grey background is not.

The Properties of the view have Background as Automatic - so I assumed this would show the shading etc I have created.

The Shading is created in two ways - either by choosing background colour on the individual text fields.  Or by shading a cell in a table - which may have one or more fields in it.  Neither types of shading is displaying on printing - but it is shown on the screen.

I cannot find any documentation of this problems... Any ideas ?

    Thank you

    Catharine

    Hi,

InfoPath relies on some Internet Explorer settings. IE has a setting in the print options that is off by default which determines whether to print background shades and background images. Turn that on, and you'll get it in IP too.

There is a setting in both Designer and "Fill out a Form" modes located in TOOLS >> Options.  Under the General Tab, check the check box of "Print Background Colors and Pictures".

NOTE: This is a per-user setting, meaning that each user will need to turn it on if they care to have the background shades/images printed
    Thanks,
    Sandhya
