Multiple Repeating Tables feeding into one Repeating Table

    Hi all,

I guess my title is pretty self explanatory.  I'm wondering if it is possible to collect information in many repeating tables, and have them populate another repeating table.

    Example being:

Repeating Table #1 has x rows

Repeating Table #2 has y rows

Repeating Table #3 has x+y rows

All of the tables would have the same columns

It seems like it's a stretch for InfoPath, but you guys are the experts, so I thought I'd ask!  Thanks for your help!

    Hi Patrick.

Where are these seperate tables at?

If they are in the same form there would not need to be seperate. You could just use a filter on each seperate view or section to limit it to the specific grouping.

If this is external data then you would need a way to aggregate it into a common source. This can be done a number of ways.

     Hi Clay,

The tables are in the same form.  The data would be coming in from a web service.  I actually found that I have to go a different route, and I created a new post here http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/7911/28853.aspx#28853

The title of the post is  "Repeating Table from Web Service copy to Repeating Table from Main Data Source" (sorry to reference a post from within a different post)

    Thanks!

So if this is the same form.

You are loading all of the data.

Have three seperate filtered repeating table controls that each shows a particular subset.

That way you have the data merged also.

     Thanks Clay!

I have been messing with this thing all night!  I see what you are saying and I think it will work for what I'm trying to do.

If you are in Texas, it has been a long night :)

Yah try using conditional formatting to hide what you do not need in each one.
