    Signing a Web Based form

    Hello All,

    I have a nice question

I have a form that needed to be signed.

One way to do it is to add an "attach file" Control and the user will press on it, upload HIS signature and that's it.

Is there any way to make that when the user will press on "Sign Now" button, it will ask him for his AD user name and password and then after he writes it down, it will put his user name in the desired box?

This is how I could know that the exact person signed up.

Does anyone think about any other way to sign a form?

    Thanks in advance,

I would use an Active Directory web service and then I have the user identified when they open up the form.

Then I would have their signature images databased and automatically lookup thiers by their user alias and add it to the form.

Excuse me, but how could you let people upload signature and display it in the form?

     Thanks!!!!!

    Thanks clay.

u mean, AD WS to authenticate the user when they open up the form?

About signatures, well, they didn't want to do it that way, only when they press on a button, it will open up user name and password and when they answer it right, there will be a text box that will be filled with their name.

But thanks, I will check it out today.

Yes have authentication happen automatically when they open the form.

I guess if you have poor security, where people are using others credentials then this would be aproblem but then your problems are big indeed. :)

     Otherwise use digital signatures.

    Hey Clay,

    Hmm, it rhymes :)

actually, It's a weird request from a customer because when you are logging into your computer, you actually writing your user name and password so why do it again?

At the end, I only need a WS that open up a form and asking for user name and password after the user press on Approve.
