    Submit the form via email

Hi I have an infopath form that is publish to MOSS. I am unable to submit the form via email using the email submit button. I can submit the form in infopath but not in the  browser. can anyone please help. It seems that in infopath it uses my local outlook client to send email. But I can't actually set the SMTP anywhere. I just need to submit the form via email after the user fill in the require fields in the web browser version.

Thanks in anvanced for any help.

    Hello Billat,

you are correct, InfoPath uses your local Outlook while MOSS needs to be told how to send the e-mails. This requires two steps:

    1. Setting up an SMTP server

    2. Telling Sharepoint to use it:

    - Go to Sharepoint Central Administration
    - Select Operations
    - Choose Outgoing email settings

You can now enter your SMTP settings there. If you do not control your MOSS settings, ask your administrator to set it up for you. You might also use your ISP's SMTP server if it will let you relay without logging in.

    I hope this helps...
