Averaging scores in a repeating table

    Hi

I have created a repeating table for an individuals performance review form I am creating. The table have Description of Goal and then 5 radio buttons in the next column. Each person may have a difference number of goals hence I made it a repeating table.

My first column is I have 1 2 3 4 5 in the heading and then the 5 radio buttons underneath but they don't line up very well - is there a better way to do this?

Then I would like a cell which calculates the average of the radio buttons - is this possible?

The form looks a bit like this (* = radio button!)

                                                                          Rating

    Goal                                                       1     2     3        4         5

    Be a Top performer                                  *     *       *       *           *

I hope this makes sense! Any help is much appreciated (though I am a Newbie so nothing too technical please!!!)

Use a layout table and centering to make things line up.

Since you are using radio buttons, that indicates that you have a single field storing the value 1 through 5... As each of these values is in a repeating table, the average function will work just fine on there. Create a field outside of the repeating table and give it a default formula using the average function and the field that the radio buttons are bound to. Leave the box checked to auto-update as values change and it will always have the current average. You might need to set the default value of the radio buttons field to zero.
