    Wrap multiple choice box

I am installing a multiple choice selection and would like it to wrap across and down the page. I believe this called word wrapping.  At present it just gives me a long list down the page, which isn't very good as the list disapears off the page!

I'm not sure I understand your scenario, but if you are referring to a list of check boxes, then it sounds like you have carriage returns between each one... if you delete the carriage returns and just use space characters, then your list will go across the view, then wrap down as needed.

    Re: Wrap multiple choice box

I have created a form with a multiple selection list box.  This is connected to an access database which stores the info required.  When I preview the form the multiple selection choices I have, go from the top of the page to the bottom, it is not possible to see all of them at the same time because of other information in the form.  What I would like to happen is the list of names to flow across the page and then down the page, pretty much as you see the text here.

I understand now... you are using the multiple select list box (terminology is important here) and not check boxes (which is what I interpereted multiple choice box to mean).

That control does not allow you to do what you are wanting. You would have to custom design a control either using the InfoPath UI (which might be quite a struggle) or using an ActiveX Control (which might be too much work/cost).

I don't know of a viable alternative for you at this time--though there might be one that someone else knows of.

    Good luck.

    Hi Paul,

I would go with Greg's suggestion to create your own multi-select list box.  IP2007 has the horizontal repeating section, and since you are already allowing for multiple selections it should be easy to design a repeating section that looks very much like what you have now.  You can use a button to expand contract everything so that it hides nicely.

Good luck, and let us know what you wind up doing!
